Highlight and Contour the Scott Barnes Way! Thanks Kim Kardashian for Sharing Pics!

So earlier today, Kim Kardashian, posted some photos on Instagram showing her makeup being done by the great Celebrity Makeup Artist Scott Barnes. Me being a makeup artist and loving everything about makeup,b was immediately excited because I love seeing how makeup artists apply makeup!!  But before the actual makeup application, she was so kind to share how her face gets contoured and highlighted! This is a very detailed way of showing highlighting and contouring but I love it because it is done perfectly and can teach us a lot on how to do our own faces!

Here you can see where he highlights on her face, and the areas he contoured which are her nose, cheek bones an on her forehead and temples.

Kim showing a partial side view of her cheeks getting ready to be sculpted!

Blending is KEY to highlighting and contouring!
The end result! Beautiful!

As long as you blend well, then the end result will be a well sculpted face! Bringing out all of your features and enhancing them as well!

On another note, Kim Kardashian is also on the cover of Scott Barnes' latest book, Face to Face, which is available now! It gives step by step ways to apply makeup, including contouring and highlighting the Scott Barnes way!

Thank you Kim Kardashian for sharing these photos!! I love it!

    1. Most of the time, the foundation is already on. it just requires a lot of blending to get that flawless look after all the highlights:)

  2. What's the brown shading under her cheek bones?

    1. That's the contour. that's what you do to sculpt your cheekbones so they look more defined.

  3. Soo you apply foundation first then you use both a darker shade concealer and lighter shade concealer to highlight and contour the face? And after that is done and on what do you apply after that a translucent powder, bronzer and blush?
