My Reflections and Photos from Beyonce's Documentary 'Life is But A Dream'! Amazing, Truly Amazing!

Tonight we all witnessed the amazing and humble Beyonce Knowles share her most intimate moments of her life on Oprah's Next Chapter and her documentary 'Life is But a Dream'! As I watched both, I could totally see her humility and how honest she is. We all know Beyonce to be very private about her life and for her to let us (Beyhive) in was truly amazing!! I felt so connected to her because she was so warm and welcoming. We got to witness how she loves her husband Jay-Z, her gorgeous baby girl Blue Ivy, her family her friends, her playful manner, her fears, her worries, her passion for music and performing and simply who Beyonce really is.  I was touched by her documentary as she held her baby girl in her arms as she was surrounded by family. I was able to appreciate Beyonce that much more for allowing us in her life.  As I watched in awe, I was inspired and encouraged by the fact that she is so strong despite the tremendous amount of pressure on her as an artist.  I watched and snapped pictures so I can always remember this documentary and who runs the world, GIRLS! Beyonce, thank you thank you thank you for sharing your life with us! I always knew you were genuine but now I have an even stronger love and respect for you not only as an artist but as a strong black woman! God bless you and your family! Keep making timeless music and just being you!
"It's just this puzzle and everything is in its right place and as we grow we take the next step, the dots get connected and we eventually become what we're supposed to be."~Beyonce (Life is But A Dream)

MAC Archie's Girls Product Reviews and Swatches!!

We all remember this comic book with the complicated love affair of Betty, Veronica and Archie.  2 beautiful ladies vying for the love of Archie! I myself always read these as a little girl! And I am so happy that MAC came out with this collection!! MAC Archie's Girls has been a hit ever since its release 2 weeks ago. It's been such a success that it sold out online even before it was available to buy in stores. Unfortunately I was not able to get everything I wanted from the collection.  But here are the things that I did get!

Veronica's Spoiled Rich Palette! The colors are beautiful and definitely represent Veronica's sassy attitude! The colors are very pigmented and perfect to create a sexy smokey eye!
Veronica's Boyfriend Stealer Lipstick! This semi matte smokey purple glides on smooth with a subtle shine to it.  For a simple yet, sexy makeup look, wear this lipstick with a cat eye and you have the perfect Veronica inspired look!

Lastly, I was able to get my hands on Betty's Oh. Oh, Oh Lipstick! I love this burgundy/champagne/gold lipstick! Lol! See how the gold reflects off the lipstick! If you are looking for a lipstick color that is close to the skin yet adds a little jazz to your lips then this color is perfect!

I have seen the other products and other reviews on the products and they all seem to be simply beautiful.  So if you can get your hands on this limited edition collection then you should really try! You will not be disappointed!! Love MAC Archie's Girls!!

My Favorite Looks From The Grammy's 2013!

The Grammy's always bring beautiful faces and hot, hot fashion!!! And these ladies SLAYED during the Grammy's and these are my favorite looks!! Check them out!
J.Lo gave us leg, leg and more leg as she wowed us in her asymetrical get up by Anthony Vaccarello from his Spring 2013 Collection! Her perfectly toned leg was like POW in this dress! She completed the look with a top knot that was simple enough to let her dress be the star of the show!
You don't always have to wear a gown to be glamorous and Beyonce showed us just that! She went for subtle glam in her Osman getup! It accentuated all of her curves perfectly!! She kept her hair simple with a parted down the middle ponytail, light smokey eye and semi-glossy red lip! Gone head Beyonce!!
Kelly Rowland's abstract printed dress by Georges Chakra was super glam as it was revealing yet not so revealing at the same time! Her bangs added an extra dash of sexy to her already sexy dress and I am loving that nude lip! She looked gorgeous!
I absolutely love Solange's style!! She is a walking fashion statement! She brought some color to the Grammy's red carpet in her Ralph and Russo couture emerald green dress with orange Christian Louboutin pumps!! And her big curly hair was the perfect touch to complete her outfit!
Last but not least, Katy Perry's dress! OMG her dress gave me so much life!! Her mint green Gucci dress was uber sexy and I love the neckline with the floral embroidery! She went back to black hair and dark smokey eye to add some allure! She worked it!!

My Beyonce Superbowl Recap Plus My Recreation of Her Superbowl Ad Makeup Looks!

The Superbowl was crazayyy!!! The game was so close!  Although I'm so not into football  I did watch it because I knew Queen Bey was going to shut it down and she definitely did just that! Check out my photos of Beyonce as she did her thing at the Superbowl!
Her gorgeous lace outfit was designed by the amazing Rubin Singer!!

I loved seeing Destiny's Child all together on stage! They looked and sounded great!
Yesssss Beyonce gave us a show and she was awesome as usual!!

So since I am a Makeup Artist, I am always inspired by different makeup looks and of course I had to recreate the way Beyonce had her makeup for the Superbowl ads! *Disclaimer: In no way do I think I look like Beyonce. I just admired her makeup for the ads and it is fun to recreate looks!*   So check out my work!

Although many people loved my recreation of this look, unfortunately the Beyonce Stans criticized me on Instagram for just being inspired by this look and recreating it. Maybe they didn't notice the artistry of the look and the fact that I too admire Beyonce and that's why I wanted to recreate it. But oh well! It was fun doing this look! And Beyonce's stylist, Tytryone, thought this picture was worthy enough to make it on his page as well! So I was most definitely happy about that!

So there you have it! My Superbowl Sunday recap of Queen Bey and my recreation of her Superbowl makeup ads! Makeup is art and I am always inspired! No matter what people say, always stay encouraged and do what you love!!
